What causes free radicals?

Free radicals are said to be one of the number-one causes of degenerative diseases, premature aging and many common ailments. It is not controlled substances, which can trigger a chain reaction of harmful cells that not only damage the cells, but it can cause the cells to die prematurely. As a result, it ends in diseases such as cancer, heart disease, arthritis, autoimmune diseases and eye diseases.

Diet.

The diet is one of the worst offenders when it comes to free radicals. All processed foods, foods high in fat and unnatural sugars are one of the main causes for the formation of free radicals in the body. Anything that contains any type of food additive such as a dye, artificial sweetener, or preservatives should be avoided to reduce the amount of free radicals in the body.

The best foods to incorporate in your diet are fruits and vegetables high in antioxidants like blueberries, acai, raw cocoa and green leafy vegetables. Nuts and seeds are also a good source, plus. They also contain many healthy fats, in order to reduce the consumption of meat and animal protein. As for calcium, dark-green leafy vegetables are a good source. The numbers may be low. However, that ensures that the body can absorb all the calcium. An excessive amount of calcium in your blood turn has been shown to have adverse health effects.

Chemicals.

Chemical products such as household cleaners, pesticides, perfumes and some cosmetics and creams are very dangerous and can cause the release of free radicals within the body.

There are many natural cleansers that you can use as baking soda and vinegar. These are effective in cleaning almost all areas of the house, including the bathroom. Instead of buying products cultivated in the conventional way, buying organic foods, because they have not been treated with pesticides. Also, use natural cosmetics, or avoid it altogether.

Pollution.

Pollution in the air is another source of free radicals in the body. These can be anything from the smoke that comes from a fireplace or a cigarette, the chemicals being sprayed on the field. Emission from motor vehicles is another form of pollution that is very harmful for the body.

Pollutions such as these are often difficult to avoid unless you live in the countryside and do not smoke. If you smoke, then you might want to consider quitting smoking, and if you have friends who smoke, you might want to ask them not to smoke around you.

Preventing Free Radicals.

The only way to prevent and protect the body against free radicals is to avoid the factors that contribute to free radicals. In order to eliminate, and stop their harmful effects once they have begun is to consume a lot of foods rich in antioxidants. These include foods that are high in antioxidant vitamins such as vitamins A, E and antioxidant minerals C are also important, including selenium, zinc, copper, manganese and iron. Other antioxidants are lycopene and flavonoids.

All of this should be taken within the right balance in order to get the maximum effect. The best way to do this is through a plant-based diet that consists of all kinds of colorful fruits and vegetables.

This means that you should include all colored vegetables in your diet, as well as all the different colored fruits. All different colors of fruits, nuts and seeds should also be present in your diet. Your body will let you know when you have consumed enough of the nutrients because they do not feel the need to eat. So, when you eat these foods, you will not have to count calories and nutrients.
