The importance of health care individualized

Health cares these days is a managed care system. Because of the volume of the needs of patients, health care is inundated with symptoms and disorders that exceed the capacity of health workers limited time. It been my experience that the traditional health care is not controlled by providers of health care for patients, but from a larger " all-seeing eye " focused on the bottom line. It is believed in every procedure of protocol, therapy and treatment; - your insurance company. Without having direct contact or the patient's history these decisions are made. They dictate what I think, what is in the best interest of the insurance company and not in the best interest of the patient.

Who knows better than the person who comes in direct contact with the patient, the healthcare provider? With so many needs and often multiple patents and a condensed time in which to manage their care, it is a wonder no more mistakes are made. To deal with a large and growing number of people in need who, in the health field, are overworked and underpaid. It easy to overlook and bypass an important piece of the puzzle in the equation healthcare, quality of care individualized.

How did profits become more important than people? In an ever-changing world of high finance, opportunity and the drive to fight harder. we have created a giant monster. This monster is controlling us and largely dictate the way the practice (which is the work of registers.) Operators have the wisdom to understand to know better how to handle what was the compassion in action. Our choice to serve and help others was tainted by policies and procedures, many of which are not in our own understanding of best practices.

The larger umbrella called managed care affects all of us, patients and providers alike. In my experience working with insurance companies as a supplier of contract, I, like many, in the process of trying to help others, are strictly defined and limited by the code's repayments, limiting their effectiveness in treating patients with the services of they need. This need for treatment sometimes requires patients who go outside of the managed system, where often find a dollar amount greater hanging over their heads. It seems that the freedom of choice, most of the standards at a price. Those who can afford the choice can exercise this freedom, while others cannot because of the paralysis overwhelming inability to choose as the basis of economics.

The other side of Managed Care is inconsistency. I heard this from patients time and time again. The individualized attention seems to be lost. It been my experience that some patients are bounced around from other professionals who have been conflicting opinions, different treatments unresolved and feel the frustration of having to once again discuss their health history, sometimes within the same medical office or organization. Patients want to be listened to, treated with respect and get real answers. I think part of the answer lies with the choice of the patient. This ability to choose is lost in the shuffle and patients feel powerless to change the thinking power to choose. A patient is a patient proactive power. While this may be a threat to some, it is better with the patient to think outside the box, to be able to consider all the options.

The need for private studies? You need to fill in the gaps of this shuffle. Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find such practices and solo professionals. Who among us is not consumed by a legal person have been left to defend our position, taking the ground that appears to be shaky at best. But perseverance is the quality of the human soul. We cannot depart from our humanity.
